有幾首霎哈嘉士改編了並已收錄入歌集的歌曲，包括一些(#)基督教和伊斯蘭聖詩和(*)歐美民歌等，現在因為有了互聯網裡的免費短片 (視頻 )和音像空間，我們可以在網上聽著原曲來學習。霎時癮起，在下面收集一些材料讓大家分享，不過它們基本上都不是霎哈嘉士所唱。有好料歡迎提供。

1. El Condor Pasa ( *意為鷹在飛，原為西班牙文的秘魯愛國民歌, 講述土著抵抗西方殖民者的壓迫，以鷹比喻對自由的嚮往。經美國著名雙人組合Simon & Garfunkel在70年代借用曲調改編後才聞名天下, 2004年秘魯政府把此曲列作受保護國家文化遺產 )
曲詞原文有以下文句： ."Oh mighty Condor owner of the skies,take me home,up into the Andes.I want go back to my native place to be with my Inca brothers,thats what I miss the most Oh! mighty Condor.Wait for me in cuzco in the main plaza,so we can take a walk in Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu".

2. Morning has broken (# ) 一天Cat Stevens在教堂內聽到此曲後深深愛上，之後把它灌錄成流行曲。

3. Jerusalem (#*William Blake) 歌詞原為1804年威廉布萊克為史詩彌爾頓的序言所寫的短詩 “And did those feet in ancient time”。以聖經啟示錄所描寫古時基督耶穌曾踏足英倫，日後新耶路撒冷 (新天新地 )和公義也將要在英格蘭的草地上在百姓當中重建。本來一直很少受人留意。約在1916年當英國處於第一次世界大戰國民士氣低落期間，由Charles Parry 爵士應邀譜上音樂以為英國參戰提出意義和方向，以激勵士氣。之後到1922年由Edward Elgar爵士譜成交響樂曲公演就流行起來。之後在英國聖公會(國教)內曾一度流行，也被視為國內最流行的愛國歌，在英國的勞工運動中常聽到，也因為英格蘭國歌是哪一首一直無定案，它經常在國際活動中就做了不列顛國歌“天祐我皇”的代替品，例如戴安娜王妃的大婚儀式。這歌一直是皇家阿爾堂周年音樂周結束時必全體頌唱的(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ0oCmDXrVk&mode=related&search=)到大約公元2000年，報載英國國內能明白威廉布萊克越來越少，也因這詩中沒有一句歌頌上帝，英國教士曾發起不再視之為基督教聖詩，在教堂內唱此曲。
在香港一些聖公會中學，歌詞經被修改而成為校歌。電影「列火戰車」的名字也由此而來，結局也用了此曲。

4. The Lord’s my Shepherd (# 舊約聖經詩篇第23篇 – 耶和華是我的牧者) 是可用來潔淨心輪的聖詩，英國練習者尤愛採用。另一流行唱法沒有這個古典曲譜的味道和力量。
